The Kinster is growing!

First off I want to tell Janice THANK YOU! These pictures you took of McKinlee turned out awesome! I was in Henrieville a couple weeks ago, and Janice and I swapped pictures. I wish Kendrick could have been there but he was traveling. We are definitely going to do this again sometime Janice!! If you want to see more of her awesome pictures, go here

She is in the Garfield County area and does spectacular work!

Henrieville was a blast! Kendrick was on business in Toronto so I finally got to go and see my family in Henrieville. I hardly get to see them enough that's for sure! My dad took McKinlee on 4-wheeler rides every day and cooked me eggs for breakfast. Why is it that when someone else cooks for you it TASTES SO MUCH BETTER!

McKinlee and the kitties

So! I'm down in Henrieville and I got the opportunity to switch photo shoots with a gal down here, Janice Twitchell (I know her husband who graduated with my sister) Anyway! We get to her house and there are these cutest little kittens and McKinlee couldn't help but maul them to death.... A couple times I thought she was holding them much too close to the throat to allow them to breathe *LOL* BUT! The kittens didn't mind because they were purring every time I pulled them away to "readjust" Janice, thanks for taking McKinlee's pictures! We will definitely want some family ones when my hubby can be there!

Down in Henrieville

We've been in Henrieville since Saturday morning! It's been great fun and it's been a great break from the usual. luckily I can still work while I'm down here for my job, so I don't even need to take time off!

As you know, McKinlee loves to do wild things. She can't stand to go to sleep when so much fun stuff is going on all the time. Here's how grandpa FINALLY got her to sleep.

I love the view from my parent's front yard!!

McKinlee's way of playing the piano

Needless to say, McKinlee has found a way that she prefers to play the piano. I heard her pounding away a couple days ago and this is what I found. This is now a daily occurance and the only way she will play this piano. I wouldn't worry so much if my floors were carpet instead of wood. *LOL* She scoots all the way along the top deending on which sounds she wants to hear. Then she plunks away at the keys with a pen.

Thank you!

There have been a bunch of you that purchased gift certificates for our grand opening of Solase Massage and Oxygen Bar! Thank you so much! Things have been moving along amazingly and we have already done over 300 massages in 2 1/2 weeks. Life is so good right now, just really busy. Kendrick and I have traveled to Colorado on work, and then Nevada for fun ( no not Vegas!). Next week its New Mexico/Colorado and then Nevada again for a fireside I am doing out there. We feel really blessed to have such great friends and family that help us out when we are so busy. Thanks MOM for tending my kid 2 different weeks, and thanks DENISE for organizing my pantry and grocery shopping for me. I'd be lost without you guys! Hopefully things will slow down in August...

McKinlee is ONE!

Wow! I can't believe she is one!

Some funny things McKinlee does:

1. Shouts "Goy goy goy goy" with her binky in her mouth as she is running
2. Always puts one foot in our dog's water dish in the morning (while in her pajamas)
3. Tries to climb in the shower every time Kendrick or I are showering even if she just got out
4. Plays hide and seek with our dog and runs off screaming with her hands in the air every time he finds her
5. Waves Hi to everyone and everything.. even during sacrament
6. Has been walking for a couple months... now she's running!
7. Loves to run on the trampoline
8. Loves her red car and being pushed everywhere in it
9. Puts our shoes on her hands and runs around
10. Will pick shoes for Kendrick and I to wear and bring them to us (they always match!)
11. Gives us her shoes (and they always match) when she wants to go outside
12. She's a TEASE! We don't tease her, she teases us! She steals things right out of our hands and looks at us and laughs and runs away!
13. She plays the piano with me. She has to sit right by me and she uses one of my hands to play..she holds on and directs it, whiles she plays with her other hand (?)

We had some fun times for her birthday. We were at my parent's house for her Birthday (bottom of post) so she had some cake there and got pom poms. Then the next day we traveled home and made a stop to Kendrick's family where she had another cake! (in brown). And since we didn't really have a big celebration because we were traveling, we had a little party for her a week later and invited some friends and family (top pictures!) I guess you could say we had 3 cheers for McKinlee. The second picture down is her in her rain coat. She wanted it on, and once it was on, she didn't want it off! McKinlee is such a character. Those of you who have had a chance to tease with her know that's TRUE! We are so lucky to have such a fun and crazy kid in our lives.

We love you Slobber Monster!!!

McKinlee goes to the Zoo!

A couple weeks ago we took McKinlee to the Hogle Zoo. It was SO much fun! She jabbered the entire time and proceeded to talk to the animals.....
I love when she scrunches her nose!

One hundred dollars says you can't guess what this elephant's name is??

I didn't drive to the zoo to see myself!! j/k. We all had a really good laugh about this! Kendrick's family has a joke about Nic going the the zoo and them not letting him out because he fits in so well, but it was easily reverted over to me this time!!

Look at how long this tongue is!!! I can't believe it!! Kinlee kept staring at the giraffe as he was eating and we couldn't pull her away. Things like that make me wonder what she is thinking!

McKinlee LOVES to be thrown into the air as HIGH as you can throw her... and she always just laughs and laughs and laughs...

Something that McKinlee has started to do is wear shoes... it's been a hard adjustment for her because she walks so well without them. This is her playing with her shoes at the zoo.

We went to see the monkeys and we were very disappointed with the result. This is wthe closest thing we found...

Uncle Nic! j/k We always tease him about being a crazy monkey. I thought he would laugh at this :) BUT of all the people who measured up to being an ape, Nic was definitely the closest.

Ohhhhh!!! These next pictures are so FUNNY! I took McKinlee on this ride. She kept trying to turn her feet around and I couldn't understand what she was trying to do. So I kept putting her back and she was getting frustrated... finally I let her do her thing. She just wanted to ride backward! After I let her, you can see she was having a JOLLY time! She has her tongue hanging out the entire time afterward.

This squirrel SOOOOOoo had A.D.D.!! It was going like 50 thousand miles a minute and was tons of fun to watch. McKinlee laughed. Probably because it reminded her of 7 (our dog)

We ended up going to "This is the Place" Monument afterward since it was right above Hogle Zoo. They say it's HAUNTED and that's why we went. I had to go to the bathroom, which is in their basement. I never really have cared about stories like this before, but while I was washing my hands... the water shut off! I didn't think anything of it until I was walking out. I went back to the sink and turned it on again, and realized that it's not automatic. Ghosts? Who knows!

Here are some fun pictures. It was really pretty up there.

Again, McKinlee loves to be thrown in the air!
That's all for now!
